The stacker crane operational running modes are: Automatic Semi-Automatic Manual
Automatic In this mode the stacker crane can receive the movement commands in two different modes: Directly from PC/PLC concentrator (centralized automatic mode); From operator to the floor, by means of PC concentrator (semi-automatic mode from the floor).
Semi-automatic from on board the stacker crane In this mode the operator by means of numerical setters will be able to move the crane or carry out retrieval/storage cycles. By means of numerical setters the position to attain is selected by indicating the X, Y coordinates and the type of operation, which is intended to be carried out. All crane movements are managed by the PLC in order to guarantee the maximum safety and operational speed. Manual In this mode the operator by means of push buttons will be able to move the crane in slow speed. The push buttons will enable to move the crane in all directions. The movement in this mode of operation will not be controlled by the numeric control, but will be generated completely via hardware. The use in the mode of operation is foreseen in case of maintenance or special conditions. |
