The FATA stacker crane is equipped with all the control and safety devices required for a correct operation, as provided for by the safety and accident prevention regulations in force. The main mechanic, electric and electronic control/safety devices are as follows: - “X” Axis (Traverse)
- “Y” Axis (Hoisting)
- “Z’ Axis (Fork Unit)
"X" Axis (Traverse) - The speed control unit consists of a mechanical limit switch and a detection threshold by tachometric dynamo. The detection threshold is gauged in such as way that when the limit switch is activated, the voltage detected by the thresholds corresponds to a pre-set speed lower then the maximum one. The intervention of the speed control unit generates an immediate stop of the crane, cutting off power to the control circuits.
- An electric power sensor located on the crane base, is activated in case of over-travel, cutting off power to the control circuits.
- An electromechanical stationary brake is activated at the end of each movement and by axis in standstill. The brake is activated in case of emergency of power failure.
- An energy absorption bumper is mounted on the crane base and is mechanically activated after the electrical stop in case of over-travel.
