| The stacker crane work aisle is provided with the following accessories: The top rail, in INP section secured to the racking upper beams, acts as stacker crane top reaction and as guideway along the aisle. It is normally supplied by the racking manufacturer. The bottom rail, normally a railway type VIGNOLE, is anchored to the floor by means of foundation plates. Securing of the foundation plates is obtained using chemical bonding agents; height regulation is provided by threaded shanks. The bottom reaction wheels slide on this bottom rail. Buffers are placed at both ends of the aisle; they can bear a collision with the stacker crane traveling at 70% of its maximum speed. Normally oleodynamic buffers are used. In some cases, if the stacker crane is of small size or travels at slow speed, the buffers are assembled directly on the equipment, and are of micro-cellular type. |
